We are a few weeks into Term 4 and with Writers’ Fest complete, our Project Based Learning incursion a success and assessment weeks commencing, this term is shaping up to be a busy and exciting one.

On top of all this, Grade 5 students have begun the process of applying for 2025 leadership positions. It was great to see a sense of enthusiasm, commitment and passion amongst those applying to highlight some of our dedicated leaders for next year. We wish all the students the best of luck.

Our Term 4 assessment weeks commence on Monday. This is a rigorous time of testing students on their accumulative capability of learning for the entire year. We encourage all students and families to get outside, soak up the sun, reset and recharge each day over the next fortnight period.

Just a reminder about hats this term and making sure all students are wearing them outside. 2025 Grade 6 shirt orders are still able to be sent into the office so please do so before the deadline closes if not completed already.

Have a fantastic remainder of the week.

Professional Learning Community 6 (Grade 6)

Can you believe that we are already in week 4 or term 4? Our last term of primary school is flying as fast as a rocket. Flash back to last week, we were incredible lucky to have an incursion through Swinburne University focusing on the respiratory and circulatory systems of humans and animals. In this session, we discussed different body organs and how they function, we also got to hold, investigate and yes smell the heart and lungs of a sheep. This was an interesting lesson and we are sure that you have heard all about it.

Back to week 4, we are still focusing on our FUTURISTIC theme and are in the process of writing a narrative. We are so proud of our students as they are truly digging into their writing tool boxes and demonstrating a huge variety of skills. If you haven't already, can you please make the time to check out our Writers' Festival pieces... INTO THE UNKNOWN. This is all located in the foyer of the stadium. Well done to all students!

Moving forward to week 10... It is GRADUATION TIME! Please make sure you add the following date to your calendar - Thursday 12th December (Week 10). An invitation will be coming home in week 6, so please keep your eyes open for this.

Have a great week 🙂
