Welcome to Term 4 - the final term for 2024! Hasn’t it flown? 

With the memorable official opening of the Kildare Campus, the library saw lots of guests touring through our amazing spaces and admiring our wonderful collections and displays.  

If you haven’t visited our campus libraries for a while, you may have noticed some layout and display changes to our collections. Our wonderful librarians worked through the holiday break to organise our shelves to make the spaces easily accessible by all of our students. If you need assistance navigating the new layouts, please don’t hesitate to ask our staff for help. 

Celebrating World Space Week at Brigidine 

Did you know, that during World Space Week, the Polaris Dawn mission set new records, including the highest crewed altitude since Apollo and the most humans in orbit simultaneously?

Meanwhile, this week SpaceX's Starship Flight Test 5 marked the first successful mid-air catch of a rocket booster, showcasing significant advancements in space exploration and technology. To learn more about this highly accredited science, make sure you take the time to come and see Brigidine's Space Week display celebrating this renaissance in human space achievements and Australia's special role in it.

Reminders 

As we are approaching the beginning of exam period, we ask that all students entering the Brigidine Campus library please be mindful of students using the space for extra study or tutoring time. Although we welcome all visitors, we must remember the library is a place for students to come for quiet focus and we do not want unnecessary distractions or interruptions impeding on our students’ exam preparation efforts. 

Also, for stocktake purposes, we ask that students and staff with outstanding books/ calculators/cameras etc please return these to our libraries as soon as possible. Especially our Year 12s who are entering their final few days of school.
