Scholastic Book Club

We have sent home a copy of the latest Scholastic Book Club catalogue with all students.  If you do not receive a catalogue, and would like one, please come and visit us at the school office.  Alternatively you can view the catalogue online here.

Parents please note: whilst the book clubs offer you the opportunity to purchase top quality books at great prices, as well as allowing us to expand our resources, you are under no obligation to purchase items.

All book club orders must be placed online via Scholastic Book Club LOOP for parents.  LOOP is the Scholastic Book Club Linked Online Order & Payment platform.

Kinder Enrolments 2025 @ Leighland Christian School

Our DCS Kinder orientation sessions for 2025 are well underway, with our next Orientation Sessions happening on the 5th and 12th of November. 

With DCS 2025 Kinder places all allocated, we would like to encourage anyone who is looking for a Kinder place for 2025 to visit our friends at Leighland Christian School in Ulverstone. Just a short 10 minute drive from DCS, Leighland still have spaces available for Kinder 2025. If you have friends or know of families who are looking for a Kinder place for 2025, we encourage you to pass on Leighland's information. 

Kinder Enrolments 2026, 2027 and 2028 @ Devonport Christian School

We are continuing to have a large number of Kinder enquiries right through until 2030! 

If you currently have students at DCS and have a Kinder student for 2026, 2027 and 2028, please ensure that we have their enrolment enquiry as we have commenced processing 2026 Kinder enrolments. If you are unsure, please contact enrolments@dcs.tas.edu.au and we will check for you.

Sam Burrows: The Real Jesus Within

Sam Burrows will be visiting North West Tasmania next week. Sam is the Director of Professional Learning at Christian Education National, our associated network, and is a renowned Christian teacher from New Zealand. Devoport Christian School will be having Sam visit our staff on Thursday 24th October. 

Sam's powerful and insightful teachings have touched countless lives, and we're honoured to welcome him to our CEN schools in Tasmania. 

Our partner school, Leighland Christian School, is hosting a parent evening on Wednesday 23rd October where Sam is speaking and we warmly invite Devonport parents to combine with Leighland for this evening. Whether you are seeking spiritual growth or looking for inspiration, Sam offers a unique insight on Christ and “Cultural Christianity”.

Recreation Day Public Holiday

Early Learning

At DCS we offer two fun and friendly Early Learning programmes.  Further information is included below. Come along and connect with others over a delicious hot drink while your children play.  

Little Sprouts

Little Sprouts is a hands-on nature-based playgroup for children aged 3 and 4 years and is held every Thursday from 8:45am - 10:30am, during school terms. Gather together in the Kinder room and we will then move across to the garden area.

Jiloa Juniors

Jiloa Juniors is held every Friday from 8:45am - 10:45am, during school terms, and is for children from birth to 5 years with their carers.  Jiloa Juniors is held in the Kinder area.
