Principals Message
As we start Term 4, our Year 12 students are completing the final phase of their secondary academic journey: the HSC exams. This year, the exams are being conducted at the football club rooms, providing a dedicated space that allows for both focus and a sense of community. We would like to extend our heartfelt good luck to all Stage 6 students during this challenging time. Your hard work, dedication, and resilience are commendable, and we are confident you will shine in your exams. The HSC exams are the culmination of years of study and preparation, and we understand the pressure that comes with this period. Many students have been preparing tirelessly, often juggling study sessions with part-time jobs, sports, and other commitments. It’s essential to find a balance during this time, ensuring that you stay healthy both mentally and physically. Make sure to take regular breaks, eat well, and get plenty of rest. Remember, self-care is crucial for peak performance!
In addition to the exams, the Year 12 formal is scheduled for November 14. This event will be the final full cohort gathering for the Year 12 students, providing an opportunity for them to celebrate their achievements and share memories with classmates and family members before they embark on the next chapter of their lives. The formal promises to be a night to remember, filled with laughter, joy, and a sense of accomplishment. Students are encouraged to embrace this occasion and enjoy the company of their peers as they transition from high school into their future endeavours.
As Stage 6 focuses on their exams and preparations for the formal, we also want to remind our students in Years 7 to 10 that their exam period is approaching quickly. Exams for these year groups will commence shortly, with some taking place in the hall and others being conducted within their respective classrooms. Students have already received their exam timetables, and we urge everyone to be prepared and organised. Preparation is key to success in any examination, and we encourage students to approach their study in a structured manner. Creating a study timetable can help manage time effectively and ensure all subjects receive adequate attention. The more organised you are, the more confident you will feel as the exam dates approach.
As we navigate through this busy period, let’s support each other as a school community. Teachers, family members, and friends can play an essential role in providing encouragement and understanding. Whether it is offering a quiet space for study, helping with revisions, or simply checking in to see how you are feeling, every bit of support counts.
