From 15 to 22 August, we are celebrating Book Week 2026 with this year's inspiring theme, A Symphony of Stories.

Exciting Competitions and Prizes

There is a $30 Dymocks voucher for the winner of each competition.

In addition to our major prizes, we have a range of exciting runner-up prizes, including books, tote bags, and individually boxed music note bookmarks. We encourage all students to participate. After all, you have to be in it to win it!

Competition 1: DJ BookBeat's Record Hunt

Can you solve the mystery?

Find the 12 mystery records hidden around the library. Use the book cover fragment and literary clue to identify each book title.

Entry forms are available from the library desk.

Competition 2: Design a Bookmark

Create your own bookmark inspired by this year's Book Week theme, Symphony of Stories, and your favourite book.

Let your creativity shine through with colour, illustrations, characters, quotes, or scenes that celebrate the joy of reading. Design a bookmark that captures the magic of stories and the music they bring to our imaginations.

Competition 3: DJ BookBeat's Poetry Jam

Every story has a rhythm. Every reader has a voice.

For Book Week 2026, create an original poem inspired by the theme Symphony of Stories. Whether it's a ballad, rap, rhyme, or free verse poem, let your words create the beat and bring stories to life through poetry.
