PRC Progress

The JSC wants to congratulate Mullum on an amazing star to the Premiers' Reading Challenge! We have read a total of 671 books so far! Keep up the great work and check out our progress on display in the library!

Communication Station Update

Each week we check our Communication Station for student suggestions on ideas to improve the school, problems we can solve or shout-outs to our Mullum community. We have been collecting Mullum's thoughts for a few weeks now and will be sorting through these ideas to see what we can achieve for our school community. Watch this space!PRC Progress

Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge

The PRC aims to help young readers develop a lifelong love of reading and this year, the PRC is celebrating its 20th anniversary with the theme ‘20 years of words and wonder’! Since the PRC began in 2005, more than 4.5 million young readers have taken part and together read more than 63 million books!

We want Mullum students not to think of the PRC as a competition, but as a personal challenge for to read more books to reach the goal by the 5th of September! Classroom teachers will give students their login details, as well as a bookmark to keep!

Foundation, Grade 1 and 2 students are encouraged to read or ‘experience’ 30 books with their parents and teachers. Grades 3 to 6 are challenged to read 15 books.

All children who meet the Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the Victorian Premier and former Premiers, with the top ten readers receiving a special pin!

Students can login with their details provided by their teachers to log their books here: https://vprc.eduweb.vic.gov.au/home
