A lil something for your pure imagination...
We have been extra busy in the last couple of weeks in Grade 4! We are so excited to share what we have been doing with you.
Summer and Ava - 4A
In gardening, we have been having a blast! We used magnifying glasses, cut weeds and sorted seeds. We also found snails and worms to put in the compost. We cut old roots off strawberries and planted the good roots. They should be sprouting soon. Spring is almost here!
Essie and Clem - 4A
We gathered outside the window craning our necks trying to look inside our classroom where a mystery man stood. We entered the classroom and he introduced himself as Ben Wood, the Real Pigeons series illustrator. He showed us how to draw pigeons. Big ones, small ones, whatever ones you like! He also read us a couple of pages of his new book. Overall, it was such a fun experience!!!
Henry, Anshika, Bruno - 4A
Two weeks ago we had school athletics day. It was really fun, despite the cold weather. During the school athletics we did lots of fun activities such as sprints, long jump, hurdles, shotput and discus. Another fun part of the day was coming to school dressed in your house colours and earning house spirit points. We all had an awesome time!
Uoiea, Maya and Dominic - 4A
On the 21st of August we had book week celebrations! We went to the Molesworth campus to see the parade. We saw lots of dogmans, dinosaurs, drugs and many more. Students and teachers won different awards. The grade 4’s won the classroom display award!! We were very happy as we worked hard writing and creating work. We made dioramas of habitats such as rainforests, mountains and the ocean. We did projects for book week too! It was an awesome day.
