What Challenge Does
Programs for Children: Camps, in‑hospital support, activity days, playgroup, ticketing, and massage, music and art therapy.
Scholarships & Trusts: Academic and creative scholarships for primary, secondary and tertiary students.
Programs for Families: Lunches and weekend retreats, date nights, holiday accommodation, home help, transportation, financial assistance, and family activity days.
About A Day in May
A Day in May is an annual campaign that raises funds for Challenge’s Musical Moments Trust. A scholarship that provides positive musical experiences for young children diagnosed with cancer. Music offers comfort, joy and is a powerful way for children to express themselves during treatment. While music therapy is often available in hospital, access usually ends once a child returns home. The Musical Moments Trust bridges this gap, ensuring children can continue to experience the healing power of music throughout treatment and beyond.
How Our School Can Help
On Wednesday 27th May, students are encouraged to Wear a splash of yellow 💛and bring a gold coin donation to support the Musical Moments Trust.
Every contribution helps bring music, joy and hope to children with cancer.
Donations
Funds raised from A Day in May can also be donated online at Challenge - Supporting Kids with Cancer . Please include “A Day in May” and our school name, Grovedale West Primary School in the comments to ensure your contribution is correctly allocated.
