AU: Lake Argyle swim delivers another record event
👓 1 minute read
One of regional Australia’s most unique sporting events has again drawn national attention, with the 2026 First National Real Estate Lake Argyle Swim delivering its ‘biggest and best ever’ year according to long-time supporter Brad Williams, principal of FN Kununurra (WA).
Held in the spectacular East Kimberley at Lake Argyle – one of the world’s largest man-made freshwater lakes - the event has become a major tourism and community fixture for Kununurra and the wider region.
First National Real Estate Kununurra has proudly supported the event over many years, helping the swim grow into an internationally recognised open water experience that combines elite competition, community participation and regional promotion.
In a recent Facebook post, Brad Williams thanked event coordinator Glenn Taylor, the Lake Argyle Swim committee, Discovery Parks Lake Argyle, volunteers and participants for delivering another record-breaking year. Special recognition was also given to endurance swimmer Andy Donaldson, who completed a 55km world-record swim prior to serving as event MC.
Events such as the Lake Argyle Swim continue to highlight the important role First National offices play in supporting local communities well beyond real estate.

Nicole Williams and her team at FN Roper & Jones (Maungaturoto) is taking on a big challenge this May.
She will participate in the Heart Foundation's My Marathon 42 kilometre fundraising run, which uniquely allows participants to set their own pace, and decide the place. We like the sound of that!
'Heart disease affects so many Kiwi families, and I’d love your support to help raise funds for life-saving research and education,' says Nicole.
'Every donation, big or small, will make a real difference and keep me motivated every step of the way. If you’re able to sponsor me, I’d be incredibly grateful - and I’ll be thinking of you during those tough kilometres! Thank you so much for your support.'
Please support Nicole by making a donation here....
