Religion

Last week was a momentous occasion for our school community. We were truly blessed to welcome Bishop Mark for our Whole School Mass. Celebrating the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker reminded us all of the dignity found in everyday service. Seeing our playground filled with "miniature workers" - from high-vis builders to future doctors - was a wonderful tribute to St. Joseph’s patronage. We also extend our gratitude to Bishop Mark for officially blessing our new Parish Buildings, a milestone that marks an exciting new chapter for our parish.
Also, it was lovely to gather on Saturday evening for our Stage 2 Parish and First Eucharist Commitment Mass. Seeing our Year 4 students stand before the parish to pledge their commitment to the Sacrament of the Eucharist was a beautiful testament to their growing faith. We thank all the families who joined us to support these children as they begin this sacred journey.
First Eucharist Preparation
As our Year 4 students continue their First Eucharist journey, we ask that you please keep them in your thoughts and intentions. This is a significant time of learning and spiritual growth. May they feel the warmth of God’s love and the support of our entire school community as they approach this holy Sacrament.
Sacrament of Baptism
Each year we have various families/students who would like to be baptised into the Catholic faith. Baptism is the first sacrament that we receive as Catholics and must be received before children can receive the other sacraments.
This term during religion lessons each of the classes will be learning about the sacrament of Baptism, which makes this the perfect time for any children to be baptised. You can arrange with Father Paddy for a family baptism to be held or in the past we have also held special baptisms during school time. Families can attend as well as the child's class, making it a very special moment and a fantastic learning experience.
This term, we will be holding a special Baptism ceremony, as a school, on Friday May 22nd at 9:30am.
If this is something you or your child would be interested in or you would like more information on, please let me know as soon as possible so that arrangements can be made.

Celebrating Our Mothers
This Sunday, we take a moment to celebrate the incredible women in our lives. Whether they are mothers, grandmothers, godmothers or carers, their unconditional love and sacrifice mirror the nurturing love of Mary, our Mother. We honour their patience, their strength and the countless "small things" they do every day that build the foundation of our families.
A Prayer for Mother’s Day
Loving God,
We thank you for the gift of our mothers. Bless them with your strength when they are weary, with your wisdom when they provide guidance and with your peace when they are overwhelmed.
May they feel appreciated and loved today and always.
We ask this through Christ our Lord,
Amen.
