Road Safety Improvement Package:       Community Consultation

We would love to hear from the school community on some road safety projects we are currently consulting on, which include an 18 month trial of a 30km/h area on Stanhope St between Glenferrie Rd & Dalny St and on Dalny St. 

This project will have a direct safety benefit for your students and families – as you can see from the attached graphic, the risk of injury is greatly reduced at 30km/h, even compared to 40km/h which is the current speed. 

The likelihood of crashes occurring at all is also greatly reduced at 30km/h, as drivers have more time to react. We selected this area as we have high numbers of children travelling in this area with St. Joseph’s and De la Salle.
