Grade 3-6 Swimming Carnival

Grades 3–6 Swimming Carnival:                               A Splashing Success!

The Grades 3 to 6 House Swimming Carnival at Ashburton Pool was a day to remember! Held on a blisteringly hot day, the event showcased the incredible swimming skills and sportsmanship of our students.

The atmosphere was electric as participants dove into the pool, cheered on by their housemates and enthusiastic spectators. Students competed in a variety of races, from freestyle to relays, giving it their all despite the soaring temperatures.

A special mention goes to the outstanding teamwork and spirit shown by all the houses. However, it was Red House who stole the show, earning the most points and proudly taking home the coveted championship trophy.

Thank you to all the parents, teachers, and volunteers who helped make this day a success. From timing races to keeping everyone hydrated and sun-safe, your support was invaluable.

Congratulations to Red House, and well done to everyone who participated!

Last week we had the St Joseph’s swimming carnival. An enjoyable and all round lovely experience. We had lots of fun. There were events such as 25m freestyle and 25m backstroke. There was one other stroke that got extra points for your team, the 25m butterfly and 50m butterfly. This year we were very fortunate because in the past few years, we have had to compete in the cold and rain. This year was especially a brilliant year for Red House winning the event with runners-up Green in 2nd and Yellow in 3rd place. But in the end, it didn’t matter who won the shield it was about having fun!
