This past week has been very exciting for our level. The students thoroughly enjoyed attending the Teddy Bear’s Picnic on Wednesday night, where they participated in a bear scavenger hunt, decorated a teddy bear biscuit, and had a fun picnic with friends and family. On Thursday, we had a fantastic day out on our level’s excursion to Rippon Lea Estate. Congratulations to our students for their wonderful display of SPS’s HEART values. It was so interesting to learn about life in the olden days! To finish our Harmony Week celebrations, students chose to dress up in the colour orange or wear cultural dress.
Next term, with Mrs Hartley taking some well-deserved long service leave, Ms Symons will be stepping up as Acting Assistant Principal for the term. This is a wonderful opportunity for her. Mrs Fox will be working full-time in 1/2K for this term while Ms Symons is working in her leadership role, which will keep routines and programs running successfully for the students.
We are so proud of how far the Level 1/2 students have come this term and of how hard they have worked. It is amazing to think we have nearly reached the end of Term 1, and we hope everyone has a fantastic break these holidays!

We’re Going on a Shape Hunt!
Set yourself a timer of 10 minutes and count how many different 2D shapes you can find around your house. This is a fun game to play with a family member too!
