THE MURAL DOCUMENTARY
I am excited to announce that the documentary capturing the development, construction, and installation of Anthony Breslin’s mural is complete! The mural titled A Frolic in the Mind’s Garden, is now a well-loved landmark at our East Campus and this documentary will further memorialise this immense achievement by our staff and students!
The documentary can be seen here, and will also be available on our school website as well as Anthony Breslin’s website.

SOFIJA LUKAC, ARTIST ON THE RISE
Sofija Lukac, a Year 12 student, is making waves through her study in Year 12 Art Creative Practice. In Unit 3, students are tasked with exploring various mediums and themes through interpretative lenses, including structural, personal, and cultural perspectives. This exploration involves experimentation, research, and the creation of a body of work.
Sofija has been focusing primarily on drawing and painting, utilising mediums such as gouache, acrylic, oil, and graphite. Her research and artistic exploration have covered semi-realism painting techniques, surrealism, architecture, and gothic ornate designs. A significant theme in her work is the empowerment of women, particularly figures from Greek mythology. She represents these powerful women as central subjects, surrounded by otherworldly landscapes and spiritual planes.
One of Sofija's notable works features Persephone, the goddess of the underworld, depicted amidst various monochromatic systems and architectural structures. In another piece, she portrays abandoned and surreal structures floating in the sky, creating a sense of emptiness and foreboding. A snake, almost hidden, traverses the floor, adding to the eerie atmosphere.
One of Sofia's works was recently exhibited at Brunswick Street Gallery, fifty squared art prize, which showcased her unique vision and talent.
