STUDENT OF THE WEEK - CATHOLIC VALUE AWARD

This week our Saint Hero is St Gianna Molla who displayed the value of Thoughtfulness.  Next week's Saint Hero will be Blessed Carlo Acutis who displayed the value of Wonder. We encourage you to discuss each Saint and their value with your child/ren, helping them to learn how they can live out our Christian values. 

SACRAMENTAL PROGRAM / SCHOOL HOUSE MASS

Our Grade 3 sacramental children will participate in their final commitment mass this weekend on either Saturday 20th @ 6pm or Sunday 21st April @ 10am.  Saturday 20th April 6pm service is also dedicated to our families and staff from McCarthy House. Everyone is welcome to come along and support our sacramental children and be part of the McCarthy house mass.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS

Well done to our Grade 5 students who narrated the Stations of the Cross for our school community on the last day of term one. The event was well received by parents and parishioners too.  A big thank you to Miss Smith and Mr Geary for organising and preparing the children for this special occasion.

CATHERINE MCAULEY CHARISM AWARD

We have reinvigorated our Catherine McAuley Award this year by introducing a termly award across the whole school. This means one student from each class will be selected as the recipient of this very special award. Term 1, 2, and 3 winners will be declared at the beginning of each subsequent, while the Term 4 winners will be declared at the end of Term 4.  

As the founder of the Sisters of Mercy, Catherine McAuley was highly regarded for her innovative skills, generosity and ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve greatness. The intention of our Catherine McAuley Charism Award is to acknowledge students who have followed the school rules and exhibited the values shown by Catherine McAuley. Teachers are encouraged to look for these attributes within their class group throughout the year. Winning students will be announced during school assemblies and recipients receive a certificate and letter of commendation in the mail.
