Principal's Report

Welcome to Term 2.  I trust you have had a lovely break from the school routine and maybe your family has had a chance to perhaps have a holiday too! The return to school has been quite smooth and it is great to see everyone back. We look forward to an exciting and learning-filled term ahead.

Next week we pause to remember those who have, and continue to, serve our country and afford us the freedom we share today. Anzac Day is a time to honor the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought for our freedom. On April 25th, we remember their courage and reflect on the values of mateship, loyalty, and resilience. Let's pay tribute to these heroes by wearing poppies and participating in special activities at school. Through stories, poems, and artwork, we'll learn about the significance of this day and the importance of remembrance. Together, let's show our gratitude and respect for those who served and continue to serve our country. Lest we forget the Anzacs and their enduring legacy of courage.

With the beginning of Term 2 comes the transition from summer to winter school uniform. I ask that all students wear the correct winter school uniform by the start of week three of the term. New and second hand uniforms are available from the uniform shop for those families who need to purchase them. I thank the parents for their support in ensuring all students are wearing the correct school uniform and not wearing jewellery and/or items of clothing that are not part of the school uniform.

Enrolments for 2025 have opened and I urge existing families with children beginning school next year, to return an application for enrolment as soon as possible. In addition I know our greatest advocates are the children and their families and we ask everyone to spread the word and encourage others to come for a tour, attend our information night (May 1st) and explore what makes Holy Rosary a great place to be.

Learning conversations are upon us again next week, these are a great opportunity to share the success of Term 1 and continue to work together to achieve new goals. We have a great number of families who have booked in for the meetings, and encourage everyone to take this opportunity. Mr Geary will transfer his learning conversations to week 3.

Next Friday (26th April) is a Pupil Free day where staff will be participating in professional learning and planning.
