Celebrating Creativity and Talent: GSSC's Journey with The Australian Ballet Education and Outreach Program

Thanks to the continued partnership between GSSC and The Australian Ballet's Education and Outreach Program and supported by the Sir Andrew and Fairley Foundation, this collaboration marks its sixth year of delivering professional mentoring and creative opportunities to secondary students in Shepparton.

Again this year, we had the privilege of having our dance students participate in this program. Among them was our talented VCE group, Erin Culhane, Rose McKenzie, and Kristine Galing from Year 12, alongside Lily-Rose Jackson, Ella Tehillah Bana, Kandance Dawe, Dakoda Ford, Daniela Sane, and Elizabeth Wamaboro from Year 11. These students had the unique opportunity to work closely with the Australian Ballet crew, working towards a final performance that showcased their incredible skills and dedication.

A fortunate Year 7 Dance class also got to participate in the program through an engaging workshop. Spanning over six days, with the grand finale performance on Friday, 8th March, at Riverlinks Westside.

The Performance included our VCE group, Shepparton Christian College, and, of course, the Australian Ballet Education and Outreach team.

We extend our deepest gratitude to The Australian Ballet for allowing GSSC to be part of this enriching program once again. The experiences and lessons learnt will undoubtedly stay with our students for a lifetime, fostering a deep appreciation for the arts and inspiring them to pursue their passions with dedication and excellence.

Congratulations on your outstanding achievements!
