Sport 

What a jam packed term we have had for sport in term 1! Here are just some of the achievements of the last few weeks that we need to celebrate:

Tennis:

Congratulations to Nick G on representing SMJ at the Greater Western Region tennis finals in Ballarat earlier this week! Nick won a competition against all students in the Little Desert Division to reach this level and the competition would have been very challenging! We are extremely proud of you and your achievements! 

Swimming:

Last Friday after finishing a big day at the school athletics, Kobe A & Ranger U competed in the Greater Western Region Swimming Finals where they swam against students from all over the west side of the state including Ballarat, Warrnambool & Apollo Bay! Both students swam incredibly well and I feel incredibly proud of the commitment and drive you have shown to perform so well, even after such a big day giving the athletics your all. 

Athletics:

What a beautiful day we had at our school sports last Friday! It was awesome to see all the students giving the events their all to score points for their house team. Thank you to our house captains who created the chants for their teams that got everyone up and about for the day! Another thank you to the year 8 & 9 students from St Brigid's College who helped to score and make the day run so smoothly. The day would not be able to run without their help! We also appreciate all the positive encouragement that came from all of the families on the day. The supportive community around us is what makes these sports days so special, so thank you!
