PE – TERM 1 WRAP-UP!!

Hi LPS families and friends! At the risk of sounding like a broken record….this term has been absolutely brilliant! Not one single LPS student has lost their enthusiasm for PE, the excitement levels brought to each session is unbelievable. Just when I thought I couldn’t possibly love this school or love what I do any more; the smiles, teamwork and energy levels brought by the kids bring it all to a whole new level.

I have to give the biggest shout out to all of the Prep students in Andrew and Nicole’s classes. What a wonderful group of students they are and I cannot say enough about how great they have all been this term. Watching them grow (literally) over the term is one of the best parts of my job. From week 1 to the end of the term, they have developed into amazing listeners, faster runners, great egg and spoon racers and have some of the best dance moves I’ve ever seen. I’m so looking forward to the rest of the year with them, teaching them a range of new sports and watching their skills further develop. Thanks to Kate for being such a big help and an enthusiastic dancer as well!!

Years 1-6 have played a range of sports over the term including European Handball, volleyball and netball plus our usual ‘kids’ choice favourites such as Jump the River, Dodgeball, Capture the Flag, Golden Child, Cone Killer (not as horrendous as it sounds) and Pinball. We’ve also competed in the Summer Sports volleyball tournament with the Boys team to play on at Districts at a date yet to be announced. Our school Cross Country was a great day with 24 students moving on to the Hanging Rock event in Week 4 of next term.

Looking forward to next term….well, I’m keeping it under wraps until I can announce some great stuff I’m hoping goes ahead. Until then, have a wonderful and safe Easter break!
