Year 1/2

During the last couple of weeks, students enjoyed a visit from a lovely labrador called Poppy as they participated in the Responsible Pet Ownership Program. They learnt how to safely greet and handle dogs, sang songs, role-played and danced to show their understanding. Some lucky students even got a chance to pat Poppy, practising skills they learnt on the day.

For Topic, students furthered their understanding of the continents by homing in on particular countries and their cultures. They learnt of traditional foods, music, animals, customs and games in countries such as China, Nigeria, Italy and India.

For their final Play Based Learning sessions of the term, students consolidated their leaning at our various stations, including construction, flag making, role-playing teachers, mindful drawing and listening, and research writing.
