Preps

It is hard to believe that this is the final newsletter of the first term. Even though the term feels like it has flown by, we have been able to get through so much learning in these past 9 weeks. All of the Preps have done amazing work and have hopefully enjoyed their first term at school.

Over the course of the past nine weeks we have worked on 14 different sounds, started reading books, we can now write sentences and have done lots of number, shape and data maths. The growth in all of the students has been wonderful to see and we can’t wait to see this continue in term 2.

A big highlight of this term was definitely cross country. It was hard to determine if the actual cross country or the walk to the park with the buddies was the most exciting part though. A massive well done to all of the Preps for their behaviour on the day. We also have to say thanks to the Buddies for walking with us to the park and providing such amazing support and encouragement around the oval. We also had an author, Emma Bowd ( with kind thanks to Red Door Books) visit us to share her book ‘This is my happy place’ to the Preps which was lots of fun.

One final note – could all Preps please remember to bring their Book bags each Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Have a wonderful Easter and see you all back in Term 2! 😊
