2026 SKiPPS School Fete

It’s time to get excited — preparations are now underway for the SKiPPS School Fete 2026, which will take place on Saturday 14 March.

Our fete only comes around once every two years, and it’s the biggest event on the SKiPPS community calendar. For one huge day, we transform our school grounds and the adjoining park into a vibrant festival space filled with rides, stalls, food, drinks, entertainment and activities for all ages. It’s always an unforgettable day of fun and community spirit for our students, families, staff, and neighbours.

A highlight of the day is our Silent Auction, which offers families the chance to bid on an incredible array of prizes generously donated by local businesses and supporters. The auction plays a vital role in helping us raise funds for the school. In 2024, the fete raised over $64,000, which allowed us to resurface and upgrade our basketball courts. Next year, our fundraising efforts will go towards upgrading all classroom iPads and student laptops, ensuring our students have access to up-to-date technology to support their learning.

We Need Your Help to Make It Happen!

Our fete simply wouldn’t be possible without the energy, skills and creativity of our parent community. While it’s a big job, it’s also a lot of fun and a great way to connect with other SKiPPS families.

Led by our amazing Fete Coordinator Belinda Williams, our organising team is starting to take shape, but we’re still looking for more people to join us — especially for the following roles:

• Stage Manager Assistant - Ideally someone with experience in audio, lighting, stage or events to support our Stage Manager, Mat, in coordinating entertainment throughout the day.
• Communications - Helping manage social media promotion and school newsletter communications.
• Silent Auction Team - Liaising with local businesses and collecting prize donations for our major fundraising component.
• Second-Hand and Activity Stalls - Coordinating our traditional second-hand stalls and other fun activities on the oval.
• The Dunk Tank! - Managing this much-loved activity, where students get to dunk their Principal, teachers and even local MPs.
