Year 2 Activity - Pinwheel Breathing 

 

During this mindfulness lesson the Year 2 students experienced meditation focusing on the mindfulness of breath.

 

They then created a paper pinwheel to use as a physical and visual aid to help them practice deep, slow exhales as strategy to use to help calm their minds and bodies.

They used their student journal to reflect on moments in their day or week they might like to use their pinwheel as a tool to form good breathing habits or to calm their minds and bodies.
