Division Basketball

On Thursday, 16th of October, the Hooptime All Stars team went to play Divisional basketball at the Nunawading Basketball Stadium. The players in that team were: Mason, James, Jeffrey, Lachlan, Anthony, Spencer,  Zachary K, Zachary L, Yevin, and Daniel. The tournament was very fun and exciting to play in. All of our players were grateful to compete. 

The first game that we played was against St Luke’s. Everyone was excited to play. During the game, we thought St Luke’s was very competitive and determined to win. In the end, we came out on top, winning our first game, 26 to 31. We thought it was rather close but we all congratulated each other and the other team for their efforts. 

For the next game, we were playing Mount Waverley. They were very skilled and came out on top, which was our first loss of the day. The final score was 27 to 38, us losing. After the game we congratulated them for winning and for playing a great game against us. 

Our last game before the finals was against Pinewood. Against Pinewood our team showed great defence and offense, with us winning our second match of the day. We ended up winning by 20 points. Our team played really great. 

Straight after that match, we had to play against Jells Park in the Semi-Final because the day was running late. We lost by around 40 points. Jells Park showed great offense and defense, beating us. Jells Park ended up winning the whole tournament. This loss left the whole team disappointed, but we were all grateful to play. We would also like to thank all the parents that drove, and stayed to support the kids that participated.
