Catholic Identity

Religious Education – Term 4
This term, students are deepening their understanding of Scripture and Jesus by exploring the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. They are learning how His teachings guide us to live in right relationship with others. Our units grow students’ knowledge of Scripture and strengthen our Catholic identity, showing how faith can be lived each day at school and at home.
Scripture Focus
Junior School: Students are reflecting on the parable of The Lost Sheep. This story teaches that God cares for each of us individually, especially in times when we may feel “lost.” At school, we express this message through our prayer, our care for one another, and our commitment to a warm and inclusive community.
Senior School: Students are studying the parable of The Sower and the Seed, thinking about how God’s Word can grow in their lives. They connect this message to living with kindness, service, and a commitment to justice.
Both parables remind us of the Kingdom of God and how we can build it in our school community.
As the term continues, students will move into learning about Advent and Christmas, exploring how Scripture invites us to prepare our hearts for the coming of Jesus. This season offers the chance to live with hope, peace, joy and love, and to connect our faith more deeply to everyday life.
Together, these learnings help our students grow in knowledge of Scripture, strengthen their relationship with God, and live out our Catholic identity with meaning and purpose.
