Principal's Message

Hi everyone,
Hope everyone has stayed safe in this crazy weather. There have been some exciting things happening around the school; read on to see what’s been going on at our awesome school!
Congratulations to Mr D
We are pleased to announce that Mr John Del Giudice and his wife Brooke welcomed Louie James Del Giudice to the world last week. Louie’s big sisters, Ellidy and Rylee, are absolutely over the moon with their little brother. John will now be on paternity leave for the next few weeks. We wish the family all the very best at this special time.
Pink Ladies Day
Sunday 19th October the school community came together to raise awareness and fundraise for Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA). The day involved guest speakers including BCNA representatives : Rachel Carr-BCNA Director of Fundraising who spoke about their work, as well as a BCNA member and lived experience of breast cancer Jessica Pearce. Breast Surgeon Sunny Jassal also joined us and spoke about the importance of being breast aware and screening such as regular Mammograms. A three course lunch was enjoyed and this lunch raised $2,500 through games and raffles. A massive thanks to the businesses which donated to this incredible day. Funds raised on the day will be added to the amazing efforts and funds raised from Grattan, Jen and Clyde’s walk from the Olivia Newton-John Centre to MEPS. An incredible achievement and fundraising effort. A big thank you to Chirnside Park Country Club for having us!
Huge well done to Jen Hendrie, Grattan Stephens and Clyde Davidson on their walk on Saturday. The three managed to raise over $4000, and still climbing, which was an incredible effort!
Thank you to our sponsors!
2026 Class Planning
If your child will not be attending MEPs in 2026, please notify the Administration Office as soon as possible. This information is important for our planning of classroom structures for next year.
School Disco
On Friday, 10 October, we held our school disco — and what a fantastic night it was! The evening was filled with music, dancing, and plenty of excitement. The kids looked incredible in their disco outfits, and the glow sticks added an extra touch of sparkle to the night.
A huge thank you to our wonderful parent community for organising the event and helping out on the night. An equally big thank you to our resident DJs, Mr Stephens and Mr Del Giudice, and to our school staff who came along to support.
It was not only a great fundraising success but also a night full of fun and enjoyment.
Fundraising Items
A huge thank you to the 96 families who have already completed the fundraising wish list! This will close on Friday, so please jump on if you haven’t done so yet. Your feedback will help guide how we use the valuable funds you’ve helped to raise.
Basketball Court
Our synthetic basketball court is underway! It’s been delayed a little this week due to the weather, but hopefully it stays clear so the team can keep progressing with the job. It’s going to look amazing!
New Lines
How good do the new lines look! It’s incredible how something so simple can make such a big difference. We’ve never seen so many kids playing basketball!
Goal Post
Our leaning football goal post will be fixed on the 6th of November.
Have a great week!
