School Captain Address

It feels surreal to say that our time as College Captains is coming to an end. This role has been one of the greatest highlights of our high school journey, filled with laughter, learning, and so many unforgettable moments. We’ve loved representing our school, working alongside staff and students, and being part of something bigger than ourselves. The friendships we’ve built and the memories we’ve made are things we’ll treasure forever.

Over the past year, we’ve learned that leadership isn’t about titles or recognition, it’s about listening, showing up, and creating a space where everyone feels seen and valued. We’ve grown not just as leaders, but as individuals, shaped by every challenge we faced and every success we celebrated as a community. From school events and assemblies to small moments in the hallways, it’s been an experience that has taught us the power of teamwork, resilience, and kindness.

We also want to take a moment to thank those who have supported us throughout this journey; our teachers, mentors, friends, and families. Your encouragement and belief in us have meant the world. Every bit of guidance and every shared laugh has helped make this year so special, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

As we get ready to pass the torch to the 2026 College Captains, we do so with full hearts and complete confidence. You’re stepping into an incredible opportunity to lead, inspire, and make a difference. Trust yourselves, stay true to what you believe in, and always remember why you started. To our school community, thank you for believing in us, supporting us, and making this journey so special. It’s been an honour to lead you.

Year Level Captain Elections // Year 8-11

Additionally, across the next two weeks, students that have written an application and have been selected to give speeches for the position of Year Level Captain in 2026 will present speeches to their cohort in hopes of being selected to represent the views and voices of their Year Level. We have been impressed with both the sheer number of applications received and the quality and commitment students have shown to making Cranbourne East a place where all students thrive.

We are looking forward to students in leadership positions in 2026 having the ability to develop their skills further through completing the Yellow Arrow workshop as a team in step up.
