Year 3 & 4

Students have commenced their new biology unit, focusing on the differences between living, non-living, and once-living things. As part of their learning, they explored the school environment to identify and classify examples of each category, developing their understanding of the characteristics that define living organisms.

Year 5 & 6

Students have begun their study of biology by investigating the concept of adaptations. They explored how opposable thumbs serve as an important adaptation for human survival and participated in a series of practical challenges to experience the difficulties of completing everyday tasks without using their thumbs.
