Sacrament of Reconciliation
Next week, our Year 3 children will be celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a Sacrament instituted by Jesus Christ in his love and mercy to offer us forgiveness for the times we have sinned and turned away from God.
Every time we sin, we hurt ourselves, other people and God. In Reconciliation, we acknowledge our sins before God and the Church. We express our sorrow in a meaningful way, receive the forgiveness of Christ and his Church, make reparation for what we have done, and resolve to do better in the future.
We ask that you keep these children in your prayers.
Year 1 and 2 Family Activity Night
Next week, our Year 1and 2 students will participate in a faith activity evening with their families. Our Year 1 children will reflect on the Sacrament of Baptism and later in the evening our Year 2 families will focus on the sacramental journey as a whole. We look forward to taking time out of the busyness of life to reflect on our faith and God’s love in our life.
Mission Month
This October, Catholic Mission and the broader Catholic community will come together to celebrate World Mission Month, guided by the theme “Missionaries of Hope Among All Peoples.”
Together, we have the power to create change and build a more just world for people everywhere. By supporting missionaries in their work, we can create life-changing opportunities for countless children, families, and communities worldwide.
