NSW State Cross Country
The NSW State Cross Country Championships were held at the International Equestrian Centre and our Kambala girls excelled. Year 12 Gabriella Gamerov was competing for NSWCIS for the first time and finished 19th in NSW in the 18 years 6km race. 12-year-old Aria Calabro finished 9th in NSW in the 12 years. We are thrilled to announce she has been selected to compete in the NSW team at the 2024 Australian Cross Country Championships along with Junior School runner Olivia Boulton. Olivia also competed at State but unfortunately both she and Alexia Coburn were unwell, and Olivia finished a brave 45th while Alexia had to withdraw from the NSWCIS team.

Learn To Play Badminton
The inaugural Learn to Play Badminton sessions commenced last Saturday at Badminton Worx. Year 4 started the morning first learning the basics of serving and receiving and their progress was impressive. They were followed by the Year 5 and 6 group who were already talking about match play at the end of the session and looking forward to progressing their skills to play ‘real’ games. Thank you to our coaches Ethan, Matthew and Natasha for their work with the girls who all reported they can’t wait to return to Badminton next week!
