From the Principal

Welcome to Term 3 2024

I trust everyone had a wonderful break filled with rest, relaxation, and adventure. It's been delightful hearing stories from both students and staff of holidays spent both near and far. Many fond memories have been created and no doubt many more to come.

Last week, we marked a significant milestone: Kambala's 137th birthday and we celebrated this Foundation Day with a whole school assembly. What started out as a dreary morning changed to a picture-perfect sunny day, and how fitting that was! Our Foundation Day acknowledges our legacy and is an opportunity to cement our wonderful traditions. As a school, we are excited to continue to empower young women for many years to come.

We also welcomed our new Prefects for 2024/2025 and expressed our gratitude to the outgoing leaders. To both groups, we thank you for your dedication and exemplary leadership. Combining your studies, and extra curricular activities with a leadership portfolio takes courage and purpose.

To our Year 12 students, we wish you all the best as you prepare for your trial examinations this term. Your time as full-time students at Kambala are coming to a close, but many exciting milestones await, including the Year 12 Week, the Year 12 Assembly and the much-anticipated Valedictory Dinner.

Term 3 promises to be filled with events and activities. One highlight is the Father’s Day celebrations, and we are especially looking forward to celebrating this day with our community. Please keep an eye on Whole Girl for details.

This is a busy ten-week term that marks the commencement of Spring. I always find this is such a lovely time of the year where there is an added “spring to our step”. We are very much looking forward to a productive and enjoyable Term 3.
