Just a reminder on Wednesday 14th August we invite children to come dressed in a splash of purple. This could be a ribbon, a jumper or a t-shirt, purple is now the hero colour that will represent Bullying No Way: National week of action. It represents peace, strength and empowerment, with bold tones signifying a firm stand against bullying behaviour.
Character Domain - Berry Street
During the Getting Ready to Learn, the children are focussing on the Character Domain from Berry Street. They have been developing important qualities by learning about their own character through Berry Street's framework. The children are learning to identify the positive traits in others and recognise and appreciate their own strengths, such as kindness, humour, and bravery. They asked questions like "What do I value?" and "What are my strengths?" to facilitate this process.
The children have also been learning about hope and gratitude through goal-setting exercises and practices of gratitude. They are exploring valuable skills for maintaining a positive outlook and appreciating the good things in life.
Assembly Highlights
A big thank you to the 5-6 Maram children for an outstanding assembly! It was a fantastic celebration of our children's learning, growth, and achievements. We thoroughly enjoyed the readers' theatre and the creative slushie project.
