Kids Corner
The Kids Corner section of this fortnight’s newsletter features some poems which have been written by some of our wonderful Year 3 learners. I trust you enjoy them as much as I have!
Thunder Strikes (by Sineysha)
Thunder is here.
It’s sending 1,000 bolts of lightening to the ground per second.
Boom! Zap! Boom! Zap!
Oh no! Now Thunder’s good friend Fire is here.
Burning everything in its path.
Peace is gone as havoc is restored!
The Grass (by Chloe)
The grass is waving and swaying to its friends.
The sun is smiling to everyone.
The wind shakes the grass so the rain is now being blown towards the grass and now the grass is wet.
But the sun saves the day as she reaches out and helps create a rainbow.
Thunder Bolts! (By Hasan)
Thunder Bolts strike on a dark stormy night
The thunder bolt struck electricity causing destruction and metal redirecting
Then everyone said, “Boom, zoom and doom!”
Ballad Poems (by Riddota)
There lived a beautiful princess names Theresa.
She wanted a pet dog named, Lisa.
“Woof, woof,” there is a pet dog.
Wait, where did it go?
We looked everywhere!
I heard panting in the closet, and she was there!
