In Faith we will show..... Respect, Empathy, Inclusion, Excellence!
Athletics Day
What a wonderful day we had with such eager and excited students taking part in the many events that had been organised for them. Thank you to Mr Taylor Butler who prepared the events and scheduled great and fun activities for both the Senior and the Junior students. Thank you to the staff and the parents who made the carnival so special for everyone. One main observation that I made throughout the day was how happy the students participated in the events and most importantly how encouraging they were for each other. Our School Values of Respect, Empathy, Inclusion and Excellence were shown throughout the day. Winning was not the great achievement but being united in the event was the highlight for everyone.
Congratulations to Xavier (Green team) who came first in achieving the highest score and all the other teams who participated with such eagerness and enthusiasm.
Congratulations to the following students who were selected for the following awards:
Max Kelly for the Luke Bailey - Courage Award
Matilda Kumthekar the Paul Vella - Spirit Award
Sewing Volunteers Needed for School Production
We need a volunteer or volunteers to make seven pairs of trousers for the junior students' Tin Man costumes. Please contact the Office by Wednesday if you are able to help out. All materials will be provided.
100 Days of School for Preps
On Wednesday our Prep students celebrated 100 days of school by enjoying many activities focused on '100'.
In their time at school the children have interacted with their peers and teachers, fostering social and emotional development as they learn to collaborate and communicate effectively. They have participated in educational experiences that lay a strong foundation for future academic learning and intellectual growth. It is wonderful to see their growing confidence and independence in both the classroom and playground.
We congratulate our Preps and wish them well on their learning journeys.
Father Pat Jackson SA 60th Anniversary of Priestly Ordination
We were privileged to have Fr Pat speak to the students during the week and tell us about his life as a Priest of the Palatinian Order. He spoke about his life and growing up in his family with three brothers and two sisters and the many things that they did together.
He was able to share his stories as a child and then his eventual entry into priesthood. Fr Pat spoke about his mission and journey working within the Catholic schools and parishes. Fr Pat was able to make the connection with the children and make his life real in this world.
Congratulations Fr Pat on your 60 years of priesthood and service to God and the communities that you have been involved with.

Families Returning in 2025
We have commenced planning for next year and request families to email me at principal@santglen.catholic.edu.au if your child is currently in Prep to Year 5 and will not be returning to our school next year.
Special Blessing for Grandparents and Special People
Loving God,
Bless all grandparents and special people in the lives of these children.
Those gathered with us here today, those who cannot be with us, and those who have gone to be with you.
May they heed your call to share their wisdom and faith with us.
May they have courage and confidence to hand on your gifts of experience and knowledge, of stories, songs and memories.
May they continue to learn and grow with us day by day.
Bless them with length of days and joy at the last.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen
