News from 1 2

It's good to be back!!! Thanks to everyone for all their kind wishes while I was away on sick leave.  It is so good to be back in the classroom working with all the wonderful students again.  We have had an incredible start to Term Three!  Here are some pictures to show just a little of what we have been doing alongside all our usual reading, writing and mathematics.  We had a great chance to listen to an AFL Legend, Kevin Sheedy and learn some footy skills from him.  We also did lots of activities to celebrate NAIDOC week at school.

At home, you can support your child's learning by engaging in fun, hands-on activities. Encourage them to collect data on everyday topics, such as the different types of fruits in the kitchen or the colors of cars passing by your house, maybe even just keeping an eye on the medal tally at the up-coming Olympic Games!

Together, you can create simple bar graphs or pictographs to represent this data visually. Discussing the results will help them understand how to interpret and analyse information. These activities not only reinforce classroom learning but also make math a part of your daily routine. Thank you for your continued support in making learning an enjoyable experience for your child!
