Room 8 and Room 12 Buddies Lesson

In their peer group tutoring lessons (Buddies), rooms 8 & 12 worked together in the area of STEM. Buddies worked collaboratively to design, construct, test and evaluate a Marble Run. They used a Learning Intention success criteria to successfully achieve learning outcomes.

Room 6 Composting

As part of Science in Room 6 we have been learning about composting and the importance of putting our food scraps in the green bin as opposed to the general waste red bin! We learnt about what kinds of things can and can’t go in the green bin. For example, our wet wipes at school are biodegradable and can even go in the green bin as they can easily break down!

We learnt about the process of how to create our own Soil-ariums to break down our compost. We made them in the garden today using dirt, food scraps, paper and dried leaves in glass jars. Over the coming weeks we will watch them decompose!
