Chromebook BYOD purchasing portal - EduNet

As of 2025, Modbury School P-6 will partner with EduNet who will manage Modbury School's P-6 BYOD Portal for our families in the purchasing of Chromebooks, instead of purchasing directly through the school, which has been the current arrangement. Partnering with EduNet allows families to puchase a commercial Chromebook for their child's schooling directly through the EduNet BYOD Portal. EduNet has prepared information for our families, via the attachments below. EduNet also offers finance options to support families and this is explained in the attached information.

As part of our BYOD program at Modbury School P-6, all Year 3-6 students are required to have a Chromebook. This allows for online learning through Google Classroom and other online applications, via the curriculum learning program of the teachers.

Chromebooks can only be purchased through Modbury School P-6's BYOD Portal via EduNet, as they are providing a commerical chromebook as opposed to a retail one. Please note: parents are unable to purchase a chromebook elsewhere (eg: JB HIFI) for their child to use at school as it will be unable to be enrolled in IT management.

Lenovo has introduced an extended warranty for chromebooks this year, which is a fantastic opportunity to take up. Read through the 'Education Warranty Flyer' for more information and an outline of what the warranty covers.

For our parents of students who are in Year 2, you are able to order through EduNet's BYOD portal to purchase your child's chromebook for 2025 now. Orders can be placed now to ensure you have the device ready to start school in 2025. Ordering closes on Thursday 28th November 2024 to ensure we receive the devices at the start of the 2025 school year.

All orders placed will be delivered to the school and setup by IT management in early January 2025. These devices can then be picked up by families before the start of school in 2025. More information about this will be sent out to families.
