Many of our classes have elected new representatives for the second semester- giving a whole new set of children an opportunity to experience a leadership role within the school. Our student representatives meet regularly throughout the term to discuss their ideas and initiatives, and to share information between their classes and the staff.
Congratulations to our new Wakwakurna representatives: Thea, Alek, Elijah C, Mia F,
Ivy-Rose, and Deme.
Our Wakwakurna representatives have put forward a variety of suggestions for our new PBL voting boxes, and their tokens are flowing in! Students are voting between a pyjama party and a crazy hat day.
This week our Wakwakurna students supported our community by helping to run the Modbury School 2024 Book Week parade. The students worked with Mrs. Flavel before the parade to explore the importance of reading, and share their love of books. On the day they were interviewed on stage, sharing their favourite books, telling the community why they loved reading, and introducing some of the wonderful costumes the students should look out for as their classes made their way down the catwalk. Well done to our Wakwakurna students- you showed great bravery!
