We are learning to paraphrase, research, plan, draft and publish information reports.
VOCABULARY
Information report: A text that contains factual information about a topic or an event.
Draft: The rough copy of a written text.
Research: The study of information to determine facts and details of a specific topic.
Paraphrase: A rewording of something written or spoken.
Publish: To produce a good copy of a text.
ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING
Research about a country of their choosing, think of 3 questions they want to ask about that country, these will be their subheadings. Paraphrase their research and write an information report. Attempt to make your text more engaging by using language features such as descriptive language, onomatopoeia (sounds) or rule of 3 (3 heavily descriptive adjectives).
