Newlands Athletics Carnival

Dear parents/caregivers,

I hope you are all excited about our Athletic Carnival next Friday 2nd August at Harold Stevens Athletic Track from 9:30am to 2:30pm.

Key details:

- Dress Code: Students must wear their house colours and bring a hat, sunscreen, or rain jacket as needed.

- Essentials: Small bag with lunch, snacks, and water bottle.

- Drop-off and Pick-up: At school as usual at 9:00am and 3.30pm.

- When are students going to the track?:

         - Grades 3-6: Walk to the track at 9:10am.

         - Foundation, Grades 1 and 2: Walk to the track at 11:00am.

- There will be a teachers/parents/students race at the end of the event!

- Top athletes in Grades 4-6 will qualify for the SSV Coburg District Athletics Championships on 7th August.

LATEST NEWS:

Some of our wonderful parent volunteers will be running a fund raising to help us get 2 futsal goals for our new gym! They will be cooking some treats such as banana bread, rocky road, fairy bread, banana and blueberry vegan muffins, baked empanadas, orange cake, biscuits and some other savoury foods! The treats will be sold for $2 each. Please try to give your child the exact amount to avoid the need for too much change. 

Please note that the school and parent helpers are not responsible for managing food allergies. A huge thank you to our parent helpers for their incredible support in making this event a success!

Unfortunately there will be no coffee cart at the event this year. Please make sure you stop by a coffee shop on your way to the track!
