Prep

Our Preps have settled in beautifully to the routines and structures of school at Yarra Road Primary. Together they have crafted new class rules based on our school values of Respect, Safety, and Kindness, discussing how they can show these in the class environment. By developing these rules together the children have some ownership of them, and this is the beginning of how they can provide ‘Student Voice’ to their school experience.

Another important way to help our Preps to feel comfortable and connected to their school is through our Buddy program. Our Year 5 students have done a wonderful job supporting our Preps in the yard. As they now move to spending recess and lunch without their buddies, our focus is on helping our Preps to develop friendships with their peers. A big thanks to all our Year 5 students for helping our Preps to settle into school at Yarra Road.

Celebrating our Students

Students are nominated by their teachers to receive a certificate of acknowledgment. The below student's certificates will be presented at our next assembly.
