Principal Reflections
Mass to Celebrate our School Leaders for 2025
Mass on Friday was a beautiful and meaningful celebration, marking an important milestone in our students’ final year of school at St Edward's. As we gathered in faith to celebrate the Blessed Eucharist, it was great to witness our Year 6 students step forward as the leaders of our St Edward's School community.
This Mass was not only a time for prayer and reflection, but also a reminder for us all to live by our Catholic values that will continue to guide us throughout this year. Our leaders participated with reverence, demonstrating their commitment to being role models for younger students.
As they begin the 2025 school year, I encourage our Year 6 leaders to embrace challenges with courage, support one another, and lead with integrity. May they carry today’s lessons with them, growing in faith and wisdom throughout the year ahead.
It was so lovely to witness the proud faces on all of the parents, carers and friends as they came forward to pin their son/daughter's leadership badge on. We too are incredibly proud of our Year 6 students and look forward to seeing them thrive as they take on their leadership roles.
Special thanks to our very supportive Parish Priest Fr Roel Llave. Your words of hope and leadership are always well received. To Sal Clarke, our very dedicated REC, thank you again for all you do and for making this celebration so special.
May God continue to bless our leaders and their families as they take on this important work in our school.
Loving God,
Thank You for the gift of learning and the opportunity to grow in wisdom and faith.
Guide our student leaders, to lead with kindness, humility, and courage. Fill their hearts with compassion, so they may serve others with generosity and love.
Grant them the wisdom to make good choices, strength to stand up for what is just, and patience to listen with understanding. May they always be guided by Your truth and reflect the light of Christ in all that they do.
Bless the St Edward's School community, our teachers and our fellow students; that together we may build a place of respect, unity, and faith. Help us all to lead not for recognition, but to make a difference in the lives of others.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Amen.
Thank you again for your continued support of our school. We have enjoyed another fabulous week of learning.
Keep smiling,
Alison Hatton
