From Associate Principal

Leanne Sjollema

Term 1 has started off well, with high rates of involvement and learning across all areas of the College. It has been wonderful to see students actively engaged in lessons and hands on learning experiences across all 3 areas of the College. With so many opportunities and additional activities available for our students, organisation will be key to success. Please encourage your child to:

  • Utilise the Term Planner for key dates and commitments
  • Check Connect regularly for assessment due dates and homework
  • Attend prep and access teacher and/or trainer support with their work
  • Seek support when needed by approaching their teachers, trainers and TOs
  • Utilise study time to keep up with their workload
  • Ensure they are being respectful in class and engaging in the learning opportunties to the best of their ability

Early next week instructional staff across all areas of the College will be assessing student progress and identifying any students who may be showing signs of falling behind, in need of additional support or may not be actively engaging in their educational programs effectively. This midterm check in is designed to assist parents and staff to support those students who need additional planning and strategies in place to ensure that they achieve to the best of their ability. Staff will be in touch if they have any concerns but please feel free to reach out to your child's teacher if you have any queries about your child's progress.

Student Declarations and Permissions

In the coming weeks Year 12 students will be asked to complete a Student Declaration and Permission from the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA). Please see the attached document for details on the declarations and permissions.
