Performing Arts!

Hello Clovelly Park parents for year 4-6 students,

Guitar

We would like to make a special offer for free guitar lessons at Clovelly Park Primary School for years 4/5 and 6 students. Lessons are in groups of 8 students for 30 min each Friday during school hours. Beginning on Friday February 14th for continuing students. Students will be taught to play melodies, chords and how to read music. There are limited spaces!

Studies show that students who learn an instrument perform better across all areas of learning and it is one of the few activities that activate all areas of the brain at once.

Choir

As part of our commitment to the Performing Arts, all students in years 5 and 6 will participate in our Choir program in preparation for a performance across Adelaide at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Term 3. Students attend rehearsals during lesson time in Term 1 as part of their music curriculum. 

Students will attend Choir rehearsals each Tuesday from 9:30am until 10:30am in the Performing Arts Room.

As part of our Choir program, students will attend an offsite combined choir rehearsal on Wednesday 19th February from 9:30am – 11:00am.  Please ensure you have signed the consent form for your child to travel by bus to attend the offsite rehearsal at Colonel Light Gardens PS.
