School News

Miss Marks' Message
Welcome to Week 5! I cannot believe we are almost half way through Term 1. There have been many achievements made already, and challenges conquered along the way. Last week our Student Leaders attended Leadership Camp, next week we welcome our Foundation students to their first full week of school and we are looking forward other events like our Junior School Swimming program later this term.
Leadership Camp
Last week, our School Leaders attended the annual Leadership Camp at Beloka Kelpie Stud Farm. There is no one better to ask about their learning and future plans for TPS than the students themselves, so I have invited them to share their expereinces in our next newsletter. We have included some photos of the camp in this newsletter.
NAPLAN
NAPLAN Testing commences on March 12 for Year 3 and 5 students. Over the course of a two-week period, students will complete standardised testing in Writing, Reading, Language Conventions and Numeracy. More information for families will be shared very soon.
Parent Payments
Our 2025 Book Packs arrived at school prior to the beginning of Term 1 and we are very thankful that all of our students have exactly what they need in their classroom from the first day! Thank you to the parents who have already made their parent payments for 2025. Your support in making these contributions not only helps us provide the book pack materials, they also support us in sustaining other programs like our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program.
If you are yet to make payment, this can be done using your family BPay biller code. Please feel free to email or call the office if you need your family BPay code.
School Council
It was great to receive new interest for our parent representatives through the School Council nomination process. Nominations have now closed and I am pleased to share with you our School Council representatives for 2025.
Our parent representatives will be Simon Murry, Amy Gormley, Rob McHenry, Taranne Lugg, Cameron Murnane and Daniel Climpson.
Our staff representatives will continue to be Catherine Barnett, Genevieve Elijah, Roxanne Wells and myself.
I would also like to thank Kim Farrell and Kerry Dalziel for their past contributions to School Council.
Take care and enjoy your week,
Chelsey
