Thank you from St Vinnies

We, at Parkdale East Conference, would like to say a huge thank you to you and the staff , Mini Vinnies & families at SJV for your generous donation toward our Christmas appeal. It was amazing how generous you all were. You can rest assured that the donations were put to good use, allowing us to support our companions with gift cards and Christmas hampers. Our companions were so grateful for the donations, as they could enjoy a happy Christmas season with their families.

Ash Wednesday Mass (previously advertised as a Paraliturgy) -midday

Wednesday, March 5th, midday, in the SJV Church. All parents are welcome to attend.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the liturgical season of Lent. For the next six weeks, we are given a special opportunity to grow in our relationship with God, to reflect upon our lives, to pray more deeply, and to be generous to others.

We are particularly encouraged during Lent to give greater attention to those who might be in need. One way we can do this as a Catholic Community is by supporting Project Compassion run by CARITAS Australia. There will be a Project Compassion box in the school office and in every classroom during Lent. The theme of Project Compassion 2025 is ‘Unite Against Poverty’ and reminds us that the good we do today will extend and impact the lives of future generations. It invites us to improve the world by working together now and finding long-term solutions to global issues.
