Specialist Feature News - Visual Art
Selamat Siang,
It has been wonderful to see the students show off their creativity in the art room across the first weeks of term. This week our foundation students had their first visit to the art room and had a chat about all the creative things they might do in art. Our year 1/2 and 3/4 students have begun making different snake artworks which will be up on display in the creative hub in the coming weeks. The leadership centre have begun working on monochromatic self portraits using mixed media.
Here are some photos of student work from this week:
Beginning in week 5, students will be starting to create costumes and props for the school production. For senior students (grade 3-6) this will be when they will be decorating their t-shirts. A message has been sent out on compass with details regarding this.
Donation Request: Used paper-towel rolls for our upcoming 1/2 marble run design project would be greatly appreciated!
Community Connections: Next Monday at Assembly we will be having a special Cultural Indonesian dance performance by members from our local Indonesian Community. Please feel free to come and enjoy the performance following our badge presentation.
Terima kasih!
