Year 8 Girls Interschool Netball – Northern Peninsula Division
On Thursday June 26th, our Year 8 girls proudly represented the College in the Northern Peninsula Division Interschool Netball competition. Seventeen students took part, forming both an A and a B team, all eager for a big day on the court.
Both teams performed exceptionally well, each finishing second in their respective pools. The A team had a busy schedule, playing six games throughout the day. They made an outstanding start, defeating Carrum Downs Secondary College 32 to 4 in their opening match. Despite a strong effort, they fell short against a tough Frankston High School side, going down 16 to 6. The team bounced back brilliantly, securing a 25 to 5 win over Elisabeth Murdoch College, followed by a 22 to 5 victory against McClelland College. They continued their winning streak with a 23 to 3 result over Mt Erin College and wrapped up the day with a convincing 18 to 4 win against Monterey Secondary College.
The B team also had an excellent showing across four games. They began with a narrow 9 to 7 win against Elisabeth Murdoch College, followed by a dominant 16 to 1 performance against McClelland College. They came up against a strong Frankston High School team and were defeated 20 to 2, but finished on a high with a commanding 13 to 0 win over Monterey Secondary College.
Both teams faced the added challenge of missing some key position players, but the girls showed incredible adaptability and teamwork. Many stepped outside their usual positions to support their teammates, displaying great sportsmanship and team spirit.
Well done to all involved on a successful and enjoyable day of netball!
Senior Boys Badminton
On Tuesday April 29th the College was proudly represented in the Senior Boys Badminton competition by Wilbur, Harrison, Lachie and Max. Despite limited recent play, the team was enthusiastic and determined to make a strong statement on the court.
Each student played one singles match and a doubles match against every school. The team started the day with a dominant performance, winning all six games against Elisabeth Murdoch College. In a tightly contested match against McClelland College, both schools won three games each, leading to a points countback. Unfortunately, McClelland College edged ahead by just five points to claim the win. The boys bounced back with a clean sweep against Monterey Secondary College, again winning all six games. In their final match, they faced a strong Frankston High School side and were defeated, five games to one.
Overall, the team finished third out of five schools. They demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and represented the College with great pride and determination throughout the day. Well done boys!

Intermediate Boys Netball Teams Shine at Division Competition
On Thursday May 8th, two of our Intermediate Boys Netball teams competed in the Northern Peninsula Division competition, held at the indoor courts at Jubilee Park in Frankston.
The A Team played four matches and dominated from the first whistle. Their opening game against Elisabeth Murdoch College set the tone with a strong 11–3 win. They followed this up with a commanding 20–3 victory over Mount Erin Secondary College, then overcame Carrum Downs Secondary College14–9 and finished the day with a solid 20–8 win over McClelland College.
Every player contributed with impressive skill, athleticism and a good understanding of the game. In the goal circle, Jack, Tait and Alex were a force to be reckoned with. On the defensive end, Noah, Cuan and Harry shut down their opponents with constant pressure. In the midcourt, Paxon and Eli demonstrated endurance and control, guiding play throughout the day.
It’s hard to single out standout players in such a well-rounded team — they were all exceptional. As winners of the Northern Peninsula Division, the A Team now progresses to the Southern Metropolitan Region competition in early August. Congratulations and good luck in the next stage!
The B Team faced Carrum Downs Secondary College and Elisabeth Murdoch College twice each, giving them plenty of court time. They rose to the challenge and remained undefeated all day, showcasing their strength and teamwork throughout.
Well done to all our Intermediate Boys Netball players. You represented the College so well, demonstrating our College values both on and off the court.
Well done boys!

Year 12 Portsea Camp
Our recent camp to Portsea was definitely one to remember! Over a few awesome days, we got to swap school for the sea and take on some epic activities like bike riding, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP)andsnorkelling. It was the perfect mix of fun, challenge and just enjoying the outdoors with our mates.
Bike ridingat Point Nepean was one of the highlights. We explored the beautiful coastal trails, riding through bushland and along clifftop paths with some amazing views. There were some tough hills, but also fun downhill stretches that made it all worth it. It was such a cool way to see the area and spend time outside.
Next up was stand-up paddleboarding. It started off a bit wobbly—there were definitely a few splash landings—but once we got the hang of it, it was so much fun. The water was calm and the bay was the perfect place to cruise around, race our friends, or just chill and float.
Then came snorkelling, which quickly became a camp favourite. We suited up and jumped into the water near the pier, where we spotted schools of fish, seaweed forests and even a stingray or two. It was a whole new world under the surface and so cool to explore.
Camp wasn’t just about the activities—it was about the laughs, late-night chats, beach games and memories we made along the way. Whether we were challenging ourselves or just enjoying the moment, Portsea gave us a chance to connect, try new things and have a seriously great time.
