Founder’s Day  - Friday, 2 May

A celebration of the life of St John Baptist de La Salle who is the founder of the De La Salle Brothers. He is proclaimed the patron saint of teachers and his feast is the 15th May.

"Teach them to lead good lives, by instructing them in the mysteries of our faith and by inspiring them with Christian maxims, and thus give them a suitable education."

St John Baptist de La Salle

Each day, teachers are called to be more than just transmission of facts and figures. Teachers guide young people, developing not just their academic portfolio but fostering values such as empathy, respect, responsibility and critical thinking. Students are challenged to navigate the complexities of the world with integrity and compassion.

St Aloysius Mission Statement reminds all staff of the direction, purpose and the Lasallian identity of the College.

The Mission of St Aloysius College Cronulla, as a contemporary Catholic co-educational secondary College, is founded on the teachings of Jesus Christ and expressed through the traditions of our founder, St John Baptist De La Salle and our patron St Aloysius Gonzaga.

At the College, the lives of all are enriched through an effective partnership between staff and young people to teach minds, touch hearts and transform lives to contribute to a global society.
