1/2 Reptile Incursion

As part of our Science unit on Living Things, our Year 1/2 students recently enjoyed an exciting incursion hosted by Reptile Encounters. The session brought learning to life as students explored the differences between mammals and reptiles through hands-on experiences with real animals. The children were fascinated (and sometimes a bit nervous) to meet a range of creatures including ‘Tiny’ the Olive Python, a friendly turtle, a vibrant green tree frog, and two very different types of lizards. It was a fantastic opportunity to deepen their understanding of animal features, while also inspiring lots of curiosity and wonder!
Some people were too scared to see Tiny the Snake!
